Josh McDaniels is known for bringing former players to his new team. Look at how many former Patriots suddenly arrived in Denver when he took over as head coach. Now, he’s doing the same thing with the St. Louis Rams.
Brandon Lloyd has officially been traded to the St. Louis Rams according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com. The terms of the trade have yet to be released.
Lloyd led the league in receiving last year, but has just 19 receptions in 4 games this year. It’s obvious that McDaniels knows how to best utilize Lloyd in his offense. The Broncos are moving more in the direction of being a running team that uses short screen passes. That’s why they don’t have a problem dealing Lloyd in the last year of his contract.
Best of luck to Lloyd as he moves forward.
