Broncos’ Dumervil Out, Williams Questionable

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Before the team boarded the plane for Nashville today, John Fox spoke to the media and announced that Elvis Dumervil has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Dumervil sat out last week against the Bengals with a strained shoulder. His participation in practice was limited this week, and he did not take part in any of the team drills in today’s practice. Jason Hunter will likely start in Dumervil’s place once again. Also returning to practice this week was D.J. Williams. Williams dislocated his elbow in the Broncos final preseason game, and he was limited in practice.

Broncos vs. Titans: Inside The Villain’s Venue

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

This week we have Brandon Clark, editor of Titan Sized, the best Titans’ site out there. Brandon was kind enough to stop by and answer some questions I had for him about the team that he knows best. Check out Titan Sized prior to Sunday’s game to see what’s going on with the Titans. Now let’s go Inside the Villain’s Venue with Titan Sized. Which Titans team is a better representative of the organization? The team that we saw lose to the Jaguars in week 1 or the team that handedly beat the Ravens in week 2? Not to get [...]

As Luck Would Have It: Is Elway Eyeing His Reincarnate in Denver?

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Imagine Peyton Manning wearing orange and blue, leading the Denver Broncos to consecutive 12-win seasons full of fourth quarter comebacks and abundant home playoff games in January. According to some analysts, the Broncos could have their elite leader under center as soon as next offseason. And no, this has nothing to do with Peyton Manning’s neck injury. Just two weeks into the season, Woody Paige of the Denver Post has put forth a bleak forecast for Denver’s prospects this season, at least in the short term. If John Fox and the Broncos do bomb it in their first year of [...]

Broncos vs. Titans Game Preview

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Denver Broncos travel to the south where southern hospitality does not include welcoming opposing football teams with open arms. As Music City sings its fine country tunes from Music Row, the Broncos will try to go for the kill next to the Cumberland for the second year in a row. Just like the Broncos, the Tennessee Titans sit at 1-1 and are tied for second place in the AFC South. The Titans are entering this game with a boat load of confidence after beating the always tough Baltimore Ravens 26-13 in week two. This is a Titan of a game for the Broncos who have some [...]

Broncos Leave Ahead Of Time To Deal With Early Kickoff

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

As you tuck your Bronco-filled brains into bed tonight, let’s quickly examine the relationship between the Broncos and sleep/time-zone change. John Fox has decided to leave for this road trip one day early. Normally, the Broncos would take off on Saturday for a Sunday game, but because the team is playing an 11:00 a.m. game (12:00 p.m. Tennessee time), the team has made some adjustments to their travel schedule. “These guys operate on body clock,” Fox said. “To get that sleep after a time change, and getting used to an early wake-up for an early kickoff, I’ve found it to [...]

Broncos Can Only Help Themselves Win On The Road

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Denver Broncos head out of friendly Denver and into tight-fisted Tennessee for their first road game of the 2011 season. The Broncos pulled off the big win last season in Nashville, but that was the only road game in which they came out on top. The key to winning on the road is being okay with your home fans not being in attendance. “Be your own cheerleaders, be everything you need on the road for one another,” Brian Dawkins said when asked how the team will be motivated. It’s not easy to win on the road in the NFL, [...]

Broncos: The day’s attendance at practice. Demaryius Thomas is closer to a return to action, but waits anxiously for the go-ahead. The Broncos care about the community. Woody Paige considers the possibility of making Knowshon Moreno a third down back. 400 wins: A remarkable achievement. The Broncos odds of winning the Super Bowl: 150/1. How the “next-man-up” has performed thus far. Britton Colquitt could have gone down in the NFL record books. AFC West: With Jamaal Charles’ season ending injury, running backs are being brought in to Kansas City to work out. Terrelle Pryor’s fate still being decided. The Chargers [...]

Kyle Orton To Face Cortland Finnegan Again

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Broncos lone highlight on the road last year was in Tennessee. It was the only road game that they won, and they did it thanks in large part to the defense holding Chris Johnson to 53 rushing yards. They also did it because Kyle Orton was able to pick apart a very aggressive Titans defense. He went 35-for-50 for 341 yards and 2 TDs. His play made post-game highlights, but so did his commentary on Titans’ cornerback Cortland Finnegan. “You always hear about how tough they are and all that stuff,” Orton said. “I don’t think they are tough. [...]

Kyle Orton went on 102.3 The Ticket yesterday to talk about his season so far. It’s a must listen to interview that you can hear right here. Among other things, Orton talks about his offensive line and who pays when they go out to dinner, the possibility of throwing to Tim Tebow, and his remarks about Titans’ CB Cortland Finnegan after last year’s win. Some Broncos’ Starters Return To Practice

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Denver Broncos are beginning to look like the Denver Broncos again. In thrilling news, D.J. Williams, Elvis Duemrvil, Knowshon Moreno, and Brandon Lloyd are back at practice today. This comes from Denver Post Broncos’ beat writer Lindsay Jones’s Twitter account. Considering this is the team’s first day back on the field and in full preparation mode for the Titans, all indications lead towards these guys playing on Sunday. Williams has not played in a regular season game yet after suffering a dislocated elbow during the Broncos’ final preseason game. Dumervil (Shoulder), Moreno (Hamstring), and Lloyd (Groin) were all sidelined [...]
