Injury Bug Hits Big-Time Broncos

In a demonic tide of events, the Broncos could have to play without Brandon Lloyd, Champ Bailey, and Knowshon Moreno.

Those three men along with Elvis Dumervil were scheduled to receive MRI’s on Tuesday.

Lloyd was pulled in the second half of the game with a strained groin, and he never returned. When questioned about the injury after the game, he brushed it off.

Bailey and Moreno suffered a strained hamstring which is often an injury that shows up early in the season when players aren’t used to the demands of playing four quarters of football yet. Both players were also pulled in the second half and never returned.

Dumervil saw limited action in the game due to a strained shoulder. He came out in the first quarter and only played on passing downs. Jason Hunter was his replacement.

We will know more about the extent of the injuries and whether they can play on Wednesday when John Fox addresses the media. This is a short week to heal and prepare to host the Bengals on Sunday.
