The official start of the NFL season happens tonight when the New Orleans Saints march into Lambeau Field to try and beat the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers.
Thursday will eventually turn into Sunday when the rest of the league begins their 2011 season under Patriotic skies and honorary 9/11 tributes. Then, the Broncos conclude week one with a home opener against the Oakland Raiders on Monday night.
This week in football looks like Christmas, Mardi Gras, and Memorial Day all rolled up into one.
Even though we have to wait for our Broncos to play on Monday night, get your NFL game face on early and head to downtown Denver because the Broncos are putting on their Back To Football Friday Pep Rally this Friday at Skyline Park (16th and Arapahoe). The rally will take place from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Broncos cheerleaders, mascots (Miles and Thunder), and current and former players will be in attendance to sign autographs and take pictures. For more information, click here.
Put on your orange and keep it on all weekend. If you are attending Monday night’s game, make sure to wear orange as requested by the team. Let’s blind the team from the dark side.
