Labor Day doesn’t apply to the Denver Broncos. The team had practice today with what appears to be the final 53-man roster. The front office was busy over the weekend making cuts and bringing in cornerback Jonathan Wilhite out of free agency. The team was one of eleven teams that didn’t make a claim on the waiver wire.
“There was only a few guys that we even had interest in,” John Fox said. “At the end of the day, it wasn’t enough interest to retrain a guy for a guy that’s already had five weeks of training in our system, both offense, defense, or special teams.”
If one were to look at the Arizona preseason game, one would perceive a lack of depth on this Broncos roster. However, Fox isn’t considering signing anyone this week.
“This is like it will be all year, today,” Fox said referring to his roster.
Do you think it’s a wise choice not to pursue anyone from the waiver wire?
