John Clayton of ESPN.com has focused on the Denver Broncos and the latest news from their training camp in his most recent article. He gave a lot of praise to John Elway and John Fox in their work since taking over the operation of the organization, although he readily admits they still have a ways to go thanks to the mess left by Josh McDaniels.
I thought his biggest compliment of Elway was that he created more of a democracy within the organization that hasn’t been there for decades. He lets everyone do the job they are paid to do, from the scouts to the coach, the GM, and ultimately himself. The front office is working together to make decisions rather than going on the whim of an individual. I couldn’t agree more with Clayton on this subject, and that is the biggest reason I am truly hopeful about the future for the first time in several years.
Clayton goes into more depth on the quarterback situation, the changes we can expect on offense and defense, Brandon Lloyd, and the effects of the new kickoff rule in Denver. Check out the full article here.
