Kyle Orton Outperforms Tim Tebow On Day 1
According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Kyle Orton is way ahead of Tim Tebow in the quarterback race. “Kyle Orton not only remains the Broncos’ starting quarterback, the first training camp workout of the 2011 season today showed thatTim Tebowis a long way from giving the incumbent much competition. Orton was his usual polished self, always knowing which of the receivers was open, and hitting them with precision. The Orton-Brandon Lloyd connections down the field picked up where they left off in 2010. Tebow got just as many reps, but was a tick slower in reading how the [...]
Jabar Gaffney To Play Under Shanahan In D.C.
Some big news came out of Dove Valley yesterday when the Broncos traded veteran wide receiver Jabar Gaffney. Gaffney played in Denver for two seasons after a three year stint with the New England Patriots. During his time here, the ten year veteran out of Florida had 1,607 yards and 4 touchdowns. Gaffney was traded to the Mike Shanahan’s Washington Redskins for defensive end Jeremy Jarmon. The 6’3”, 286 lb. end is entering his third season, but has played in just 15 games. He has 11 career tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass deflection. It’s expected that [...]
It’s just another day at Dove Valley for Kyle Orton. With the Broncos telling everyone that they are in serious talks with Miami about trading Orton, nothing has happened yet. Everyone remains on the edge of their seats except, well, Kyle Orton. As reported by Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Orton will be taking reps with the first-team. As of now, the Dolphins look to be the only viable landing strip for the veteran quarterback who the Broncos are willing to let leave in favor of giving Tim Tebow a run. The hold-up with the trade doesn’t necessarily involve [...]
Broncos’ Lloyd Poised For Another Big Year?
Brandon Lloyd surprised the league and stole the hearts of Broncos fans last season. No argument can be made about that. The veteran receiver broke out of his shell to lead the league in receiving last year with 1,448 yards and 11 touchdowns receptions. TheGoodPoint.comwrote up a nice article about the emergence of Lloyd and his potential for a repeat season. They asked me a few questions to help guide the article. “We lost our leading receiver in Brandon Marshall and we didn’t know who was going to step up to fill Marshall’s big shoes,” Constantinesco said. “In his nine-year [...]
Jabar Gaffney out of Denver & D-Will Stays with Carolina
Adam Schefter is reporting that the Denver Broncos have traded Jabar Gaffney to the Washington Redskins for DE Jeremy Jarmon. Jarmon is entering his 3rd NFL season and has played in 15 games over that stretch, although he has only started a single time. Just minutes after the trade became public, John Elway tweeted the following: “We have acquired DT Jeremy Jarmon from Washington in exchange for WR Jabar Gaffney. Jeremy is an athletic defensive lineman with great versatility. We are looking forward to having him as Bronco.” In other news the Carolina Panthers have re-signed DeAngelo Williams to a massive 5-year [...]
DT Brandon MeBane Targeted by the Broncos

He has 112 tackles and 10 sacks in 53 career games started. He has also been ranked by several national media members as one of the top DT free agents available this offseason. He would be a huge signing for Denver and would continue their massive upgrade on the defensive side of the ball. More information to come as details emerge. Broncos Look To Wiliams, McGahee For Backfield Help
I don’t know about you, but I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve. The excitement is building in one area in particular. With one time images in mind of Terrell Davis dancing down the field for long runs, my excitement builds for an established running back that the Broncos are due to pick up in free agency. Who will be the guy to share carries with Knowshon Moreno? Who will be the guy to put an end to the team’s woeful third and short conversion rate? Who will be the guy to take pressure off of the passing [...]
