One For The Broncos' Champ

Cornerback is one of those positions that largely goes unrecognized until something major happens. Positive or negative, an interception or a 60-yard completion downfield can turn a silent stadium into one that sounds like Times Square on New Years Eve.

That’s why the position garners up some of the highest paid salaries in the league. While a Pro Bowl cornerback doesn’t make a team quite like a Pro Bowl quarterback does, having one outstanding guy in the secondary can help a team tremendously.

The Broncos are fortunate that the longest tenured guy on the team is Champ Bailey, widely considered the best CB in the league. He brings 13 years of NFL experience, 48 interceptions, 806 total tackles, 181 pass deflections, and 8 forced fumbles to the table.

While Darrelle Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha are also considered highly talented shutdown corners, they have yet to show that they can keep their production up for the number of years that Bailey has.

In honor of Bailey’s accomplishments and his dedication to the Broncos, I think we owe it to him and to ourselves to watch this incredible highlight video.
