The NFL’s Toughest Venues: Broncos No. 12

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

Eight home games and eight away games (in a perfect world). That’s life in the NFL. Everyone has to step away from their home turf for half the season, but that doesn’t necessarily put everyone on an even playing field. There are certain stadiums in the NFL that are more difficult to play in whether it’s the fans, the noise level, the weather, or a combination of all three elements. On Tuesday, ESPN put out a power ranking of the league’s toughest venues to play in. This power ranking was compiled by tallying the votes for eight division bloggers from [...]

One Tebow Picture Eases Minds Of Broncos Fans

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

If anyone out there in Broncos Country is worried about second-year quarterback Tim Tebow not making time to work out with everything else he has going on, put those thoughts on hold. This picture was taken by Tebow’s business partner at the St. Jude Classic, a charity golf tournament in Memphis, TN. I’m guessing this drive went 310 yards. Who knew the Incredible Hulk played golf too? Make sure to follow Predominantly Orange on Facebook.

Broncos’ Bruton Gets National Attention For Teaching

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Video | COMMENTS: None Yet

Weeks ago, the Denver Post featured Broncos’  safety David Bruton in an article about what he’s up to this offseason. Unlike many professional football players, Bruton is keeping busy away from an athletic field. While he’s still working out to stay in football shape, he spends the better part of his days in a classroom as a substitute teacher in his hometown of Miamisburg, OH. Bruton applied for and received a one-year substitute teacher’s license from the Ohio Department of Education, clearing him to take short-term assignments in classrooms for students in kindergarten through high school. – Lindsay Jones (Denver Post) [...]

Broncos: There’s much more than football for Brandon Lloyd. Woody Paige thinks if Kyle Orton is not starting in Denver, he won’t be content as a Bronco.  Champ Bailey and Lloyd make NFL Network’s list of top 100 players. Top tasks the Broncos need to get done. Cool video of how Invesco Field was transformed for the U2 concert. Von Miller gets inked, but it’s not the common tattoo. The Tebow brand is on the rise despite the lockout. Chris Cooley pranks Carson Palmer by pretending to be John Elway. AFC West: Approval ratings for the Chiefs owner Clark Hunt. The [...]

An 8-game NFL season in 2011??

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Broncos, News, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

Daniel Kaplan of the SportsBusiness Journal is reporting that the NFL has a plan for a season that could be as short as 8 regular-season games. For some of you that may bring back memories of the 1982 season in which only 9 games were played prior to a strange tournament-style playoffs. I have no doubt that a season of some length will be played; there is just too much money at stake. But an 8 game season is just ridiculous. It would be over in the blink of an eye and then everyone would be unfulfilled with the outcome. [...]

Denver Bronco Offensive Lineman – Chris Kuper

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

I can only relate to college and professional football as a fan, but I consider myself fortunate that I was able to play football through my high school years.  My “tackle football career” was a short eight years on the offensive line. Offensive lineman don’t get the kudos the quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers do, but anyone who watches football on a consistent basis knows the five individuals who make up the offensive line are an integral part of any offensive game plan.  Unfortunately, these massive NFL men don’t make the highlight reel for their superb play, but rather, [...]

Terrell Davis Will Stay Away From Coaching For Now

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

There are lots of former players now coaching in the NFL, and it makes sense. There’s no better person to coach than a person who has experienced life in the NFL firsthand. Once a player has experienced retirement  for a few years, the itch to get back to life in the NFL probably rises to the surface. That’s why coaching is a viable option for many guys. Terrell Davis scratched his itch last summer when he was an intern for former coach Mike Shanahan and the Washington Redskins. However, he knew that coaching in the NFL wasn’t for him after just a [...]

Brandon Lloyd Talks Tebow, Burgers, And Madden

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Brandon Lloyd isn’t only a fun player to watch on the football field. He’s a fun guy to talk to. I chatted with him last December when the Broncos were 3-9, and he took a light-hearted approach to my questions and threw a few jokes into the mix. To get to know Lloyd even better, NFL.com asked him a few questions about Tim Tebow, burgers, and Madden. You can check out the interview here, and watch a video. For a guy who led the league in receiving last year, he’s pretty nonchalant about who the Broncos’ starting quarterback will be. Make [...]
