Denver Bronco Offensive Lineman – Stanley Daniels

After joining the St. Louis Rams in 2007 as a free agent, Stanley Daniels had minor stops on practice squads for the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers before joining the Denver Broncos as a free agent in 2010.  As starting left guard, Stanley Daniels made his first NFL appearance on September 12, 2010, when the Broncos opened the season in Jacksonville.

Stanley Daniels, Jr. was born in San Diego, California on November 30, 1984.  Daniels attended Marian Catholic High School and played tight end and defensive line.  After earning league honors as a defensive player and being named first team all-state his senior year, Daniels headed to the University of Washington.  Despite being moved to offensive line at the start of his redshirt freshman year, Daniels managed to start 24 of the 36 games he played in over the four year period at Washington.  Daniels received the Most Improved Huskie Award from KING-TV his junior year.

Stanley is the oldest of eight siblings and is the nephew of ex-NFL linebacker Ray May, who played thirteen seasons in the NFL, three of which were for the Denver Broncos.  Though having family ties to the Broncos, Stanley grew up “a San Diego guy” but did admit in a 2010 Helmets Off article on www.denverbroncos.com that he did like cheering for Terrell Davis when the Broncos visited San Diego, because both of them came from the same area.
