Rookies Get Introduced To NFL Life

Yesterday, NFL rookies listened to Herm Edwards speak at the rookie symposium. Known more for his sound bites than for his winning record, Edwards seemed like the perfect guy to inject some reason and experience into this new crop of young guns. Players Keeping Busy During NFL Lockout

During Q&A’s with NFL players, many fans will ask what a particular player would be doing if he weren’t in the NFL. Thanks to the lockout, we are seeing first hand what many players would do. From Ochocinco trying his hand, errr, foot at soccer to Dwight Freeny interning at Maxim, the sky’s the limit for these guys who are looking to keep busy during the offseason.

Happy Birthday John Elway!

As I sat in Buffalo Wild Wings this evening, I noticed classic Bronco football highlights on one of the TV’s across the room.  Needless to say, my attention immediately shifted from my dinner companion’s company to the Bronco highlights.  Unfortunately, I was unable to hear the audio but quickly realized NFL Total Access on the NFL Network was showing “Top 10” John Elway/Bronco plays to honor The Mile High Magician’s 51st birthday, which is today.  Total Access is repeated a number of times this evening and tomorrow, so be sure to watch it and relive some of those great moments [...]

John Elway And “The Drive”

In honor of John Elway’s birthday today, I decided to watch a film on “The Drive.” The Drive refers to an Elway led drive in the 1986 AFC Championship Game against the Cleveland Browns. He took the Broncos 98 yards in just over five minutes to tie the game with 37 seconds left in regulation play. The Broncos ended up winning that game 23-20 in overtime to advance to the Super Bowl. Denver Bronco Offensive Lineman – Stanley Daniels

After joining the St. Louis Rams in 2007 as a free agent, Stanley Daniels had minor stops on practice squads for the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers before joining the Denver Broncos as a free agent in 2010.  As starting left guard, Stanley Daniels made his first NFL appearance on September 12, 2010, when the Broncos opened the season in Jacksonville.
