Week 16 Preview:Denver At Buffalo
For a Christmas Eve game, the Broncos travel to frigid Buffalo. On paper, this seems to be an even matchup if we compare the two teams from last year. Like the Broncos, the Bills went 4-12 in 2010 and have had to basically build from the ground up. The Bills brought up the rear in most statistics categories. They were ranked 18th in rushing and 24th in passing. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 3,000 yards, and had 23 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. His main target was Stevie Johnson. Fred Jackson led the team in rushing with 927 yards and 5 touchdowns on the season. The team [...]

Broncos: Brian Dawkins is the man. Dareus Miller is not pleased that the Broncos didn’t select him. Perrish Cox pleads not guilty. Justin Bannan and Jamal Williams are not out of the Broncos’ plans. Could the Vikings go after Kyle Orton? New Coach. No offseason. Equals success? AFC West: Will Kansas City be a football town in 2013? Jason Campbell is running his own camp. The Chargers could be the next team featured on Hard Knocks. Random: An old trick takes a new turn. Jay Cutler is still taking shots in Chicago. The Gators got a gem of a guy [...]
Week 15 Preview: New England At Denver
The last time the New England Patriots visited the Denver Broncos, Broncos Country was high as a kite. Under a young head coach and Belichick disciple, the Broncos picked up a win against arguably one of the most composed franchises in all of sports to start their season 5-0. After one more win in ’09 to go 6-0, the team then lost their next four games and eight of their next ten. That was pretty much the inscription on Josh McDaniels’ head coaching gravestone. With an entirely different coaching staff and a very different roster, the Broncos will once again put the [...]
Did Broncos Make Mistake In Passing On Bowers?
When early projections and initial mock drafts were announced for the 2011 NFL Draft, Clemson defensive end Da’Quan Bowers was right at the top. Many had him going No. 1 overall to the Carolina Panthers, but some had him being taken by the Denver Broncos at the No. 2 spot. However, after Bowers struggled at Clemson’s Pro Day and doubts arose about the strength of his surgically repaired knee, his stock fell prior to the draft. After sitting through the first round, Bowers was eventually taken by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 51st overall pick in the 2011 NFL [...]
Broncos Classic: 1992 Kansas City @ Denver
Both the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs came into their 1992 showdown at Mile High Stadium tied for first in the AFC West with identical 3-1 records. Marty Schottenheimer came in with a 1-8 against John Elway up to that point (0-5 at Mile High), and that mark was going to get a lot worse before Elway retired after the 1998 season. The Broncos would eventually finish the season at 8-8, and 1992 would prove to be Dan Reeves’ final season as head coach of the team.
Week 14 Preview: Chicago At Denver
After a nice long road trip, the Broncos have their final three of four games at home. They kick off this home stand by hosting the Chicago Bears in week 14. Midway Jay will be returning to Denver for his first regular season game at Invesco since he was traded. Cutler and the Bears played in Denver in an ’09 preseason game in which the Bears won. Da Bears took the NFC North by storm last season, winning the division with an 11-5 record. They advanced all the way to the Conference Championship where they lost to the eventual Super [...]
Brian Dawkins Gets Broncos Off The Ground
The Broncos are back near, not at, Dove Valley. For the second time this week, players gathered for an organized workout led by Steadman Hawkins sports performance expert Loren Landow. Fourteen players were a part of this group including Kyle Orton who threw to Eric Decker and Dan Gronkowski prior to the start of the regular workout. LenDale White, Lance Ball, and Ben Garland were the new players to join today’s session.
Week 13 Preview: Denver At Minnesota
This will be the Broncos fifth away game in seven weeks. Aside from racking up the air miles, the Broncos will be looking to rack up the wins during this - the most difficult part of their schedule. The Vikings went 6-10 in 2010, which was a huge disappointment after their 12-4 season and a run to the NFC Conference Championship in 2009. The Favre era is over (or is it?), but this Vikings team has a lot of great young talent. If the team can get a strong arm under center, he will have a lot of targets out on [...]
Each fall and spring, the city I live in has a Parade of Homes. This is an opportunity to see many different types of homes. The fun really begins when you look at the truly elaborate homes and see the overly large rooms, the decked out basements, and all the neat gadgets that were added to the most expensive houses. Another impressive home sitting just west of Interstate 25 in Denver, Colorado is available for Bronco fans to tour, and I highly suggest everyone go.
Brian Dawkins Brings It, Does Orton?
Last Thursday, Woody Paige wrote a rather interesting piece on what the New Orleans Saints are up to this time of year. He notes that because of the restrictions imposed by the lockout, Drew Brees took control of his team and funded the Saints’ weekly workout regimen. Brees brought in his personal trainer, and paid Tulane University to use their workout facility and film room. In the article, Paige rides Kyle Orton for not stepping up to the plate as captain and organizing team workouts.
