As a Chiefs visiting fan in 24 of the NFL stadiums, I agree with you. With the exception of a handful of my road trips, I have had pleasant experiences with the home team fans. In fact, I have met other Chiefs fans living in the opposing team city and formed a friendship. As a passionate Chiefs fan, I have to remind myself to respect the home team stadium and their fans. I find myself having to bite my tongue and not reply or respond to rude and obnoxious behavior. I have worn my red proudly in all stadiums except Oakland....big surprise! I had been warned not to wear my Chiefs red if I wanted to see and enjoy the entire game and get out of the stadium alive! But I actually got the last laugh...I wore a "Raider Hater" sweatshirt under my coat, with the zipper open just far enough for the Faider fans to only view the word "Raider". It warmed my heart to know they had no clue!!

I have shown respect for the home team fans throughout my journey but I also believe visiting fans, whether at Arrowhead or any of the other NFL stadiums, have the right to cheer for their team and not be harrassed by home team fans. I have six stadiums left in my personal goal to get to all of the NFL stadiums. Detroit and New England are the two stadiums on the 2011 Chiefs away game schedule for 2011. My airline tickets are booked for the Monday Night game on November 21st at Gillette Stadium and I've got another Chiefs season ticket holder and fan going with me...Chief Wildcat! Now let's get this lockout settled and let's get ready to rumble!!!
