In the never ending quarterback saga that surrounds the Denver Broncos, thoughts on trading Kyle Orton will not die down. According to sources who spoke to NFL.com, Orton will not be traded away for a third round or a fourth round pick.
“If the right call comes in and the offer is strong, it will be considered,” sources tell NFL.com, but “the idea that a third- or fourth-round pick might get it done is woefully misguided.” The site claims “a high second-round pick that converts to a first-rounder based on production” might get it done.” – Yahoo Sports
Again, this statement could be padding Orton’s trade value more than anything else. The veteran starter will likely be sought after by teams that need experienced quarterbacks on their roster such as Minnesota or Arizona, and if the Broncos are in fact open to trading him, the team hopes to get the most bang out of its buck.
