Tebow On The Road But Still Building Team Camaraderie

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The big time quarterbacks are all doing it, so why not consider an aspiring big-time QB getting in on the act? In a time where NFL teams cannot formally organize team workouts, individual players have taken it upon themselves to organize player workouts.   Adam Schefter reports that Tim Tebow organized and paid for three of his receivers to fly out to Jacksonville, FL and workout with him. Brandon Lloyd, Jabar Gaffney, and Britt Davis were put up in a nearby hotel for a week to work out with the second-year QB. Eric Decker was unable to attend due to a prior commitment, [...]

Examining Von Miller’s Strength And Speed

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Von Miller. He’s the undeclared pride and joy of the Broncos draft, and as a great college linebacker and athlete, it’s no wonder Sport Science wanted to use him to study speed and strength. At the Combine in February, Miller did 21 reps of 225 lbs. on the bench press, he had a 37” inch vertical jump, and his time in the 40 was 4.46. His speed is on par with top wide receivers which is unheard of for a linebacker. Miller’s athleticism pretty much secured his position as a top 5 draft pick. To catch Miller’s segment on Sport Science, go [...]

Thanks for Coming – Now Get Out!

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Gameday | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The NFL regular season is sixteen games long – eight of those games are at home and the other eight are on the road.  Not only do teams have very different routines and schedules when they’re at home versus on the road, fans who watch games in person also have very different experiences depending on the team they support.

Broncos Move Back To Local NBC Affiliate

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Out with the old and in with the new is a fitting theme to this season. To go along with coaching changes, roster changes, and scheme changes, the Denver Broncos will now be featured on KUSA-9, Denver’s NBC affiliate. KCNC-4, or Denver’s CBS affiliate will still broadcast 12 of the team’s regular season games, but preseason games and a weekly show with John Elway will be shown on KUSA-9. The team announced this change Thursday after signing a two-year contract with the local NBC affiliate. Team President Joe Ellis said,  ”We are fortunate to have a partnership with KUSA-TV that enables us to [...]

Kyle Orton’s Trade Value Up For Debate

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

In the never ending quarterback saga that surrounds the Denver Broncos, thoughts on trading Kyle Orton will not die down. According to sources who spoke to NFL.com, Orton will not be traded away for a third round or a fourth round pick. “If the right call comes in and the offer is strong, it will be considered,” sources tell NFL.com, but “the idea that a third- or fourth-round pick might get it done is woefully misguided.” The site claims “a high second-round pick that converts to a first-rounder based on production” might get it done.” – Yahoo Sports Again, this statement could be [...]

Broncos Must Look Outside For Backfield Help

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

He went 12th overall in the 2009 draft, and in Josh McDaniels’ eyes, the former Georgia Bulldog was supposed to resurrect the Denver Broncos running game. In John Fox’s eyes, however, that may not be the case. According to Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post, the Broncos may be use Knowshon Moreno as primarily a third down back. So much for draft position determining how much playing time an NFL player gets these days (or how many chances he has to prove himself for that matter). The NFL is more physical than ever, and it’s unusual for team to have a  just one workhorse running back. [...]
