Who Do The Broncos Pick At No. 2?
The big day is less than a day away! With the Broncos holding the highest pick in team history, a lot is riding on John Elway, Brian Xanders, and John Fox. If Josh McDaniels were still head coach, I wouldn’t be surprised if the team selected quarterbacks Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert (if available). However, times have changed. The heads of the organization know that defense is the way to the top, and since the Broncos ranked dead last in defense giving up 29.4 points per game and 390.8 yards per game, expect the No. 2 draft pick overall to come [...]
Week 7 Preview: Denver At Miami
The Broncos are taking their talents to Miami. Coming off of a bye week, the fresh-legged Broncos will have eleven more weeks of football without a break. Talk about nose to the grindstone. This team will face a Miami team that is also coming off a bye week. The Dolphins will have played two home games -against New England and Houston, and two away games – against Cleveland and San Diego. Miami finished their 2010 campaign 7-9 in a very competitive AFC East division. The Dolphins lost their last three games of the year. The team was ranked 21st in rushing [...]

Is Von Miller the way to go at #2? On the way to the Broncos’ No. 1 draft success. AFC West: The Chiefs are staying away from team facilities despite the lockout ending. Will the Raiders move up in the first round of the draft? It looks as if the Chargers will get rid of Darren Sproles. Random: SI.com’s best photos of the week. New trailers for The Hangover [...]
Week 5 Preview: San Diego At Denver
Coming off of two very physical away games, the Denver Broncos must rally in week 5 to give AFC West rival, the San Diego Chargers, a run for their money. The Broncos will be physically and mentally tired walking away from games in Tennessee and Green Bay, but the team has just one more game left before a much needed bye week. By the time these two teams meet, the Chargers will have already faced Minnesota, Kansas City, and Miami at home, and New England on the road. That’s certainly a schedule no team envies.
Broncos Profile: Mario Haggan
Each month, I will showcase a current Denver Broncos player and inform you of their lives and accomplishments before coming to Denver. In doing so, I hope to shine a light on each players own unique journey on the road to Mile High. This months featured player is linebacker Mario Haggan.
NFL Lockout Has Been Lifted
Players: 1 Owners: 0. In this offseason battle worthy of an Academy Award for Best Drama, the lockout has been lifted. A federal judge has ordered the end of the lockout because she believed that it was causing harm to their careers. The NFL will appeal the lift immediately. “We will promptly seek a stay from Judge Nelson pending an expedited appeal to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals,” the league said. “We believe that federal law bars injunctions in labor disputes. We are confident that the Eighth Circuit will agree. But we also believe that this dispute will inevitably end [...]
Are Better Times Ahead For Brandon Marshall?
We heard about it over the weekend. We heard something similar about three years ago. Brandon Marshall once again made offseason headlines for an injury sustained off the football field. This time, it was Marshall that was allegedly stabbed in the stomach with a kitchen knife by his wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall. Marshall was released from a Florida hospital Saturday afternoon after treatment for a stab wound that did not penetrate any vital organs. Marshall is expected to make a full recovery. Arms were thrown in the air when Brandon Marshall was released from the Broncos. How could the team get rid of its leading [...]
Week 4 Preview: Denver At Green Bay
Weather wise, the Broncos lucked out. They’re taking on the Green Bay Packers at the beginning of October instead of in December when the shirtless cheesehead fans come out in -3 degree temps and will their team to victory simply by way of mid-western hardiness. The Broncos travel to the land of all things green and yellow to take on the oldest and most storied franchises in professional sports. Oh, did I forget to mention that they’re also the defending Super Bowl champs? What a world for the Broncos to enter coming off a 4-12 season.
Denver Broncos Must Protect This House!
The NFL released its 2011 schedule on Tuesday evening, and I immediately became excited as I saw the Broncos’ opponent in Week 1 – the Oakland Raiders! Not only has the NFL scheduled the Broncos’ arch rival in Week 1, they have the Raiders traveling to Denver for a Monday Night Football showcase. It will be a long time before any of us Bronco fans forget the schellacking the Raiders handed the Broncos during week 7 of the 2010 season. Unfortunately, as I think about that game, other games come to mind where the Broncos did not perform anywhere close to expectations, [...]
