NFL Lockout Back On

The NFL lockout is back on.

This is like a bad relationship that sees a couple agree to move forward as a  one day only to break up the next day.

U.S. District Judge Susan Nelson’s ruling to lift the lockout was put on hold just as the 2nd round of the NFL draft got underway.

What a short work week for players as today was the first (and last) day they could workout at team facilities.

As reported by Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post, Spencer Larsen got the dust off the equipment in the weight room as he was the only player to workout. He arrived at the team’s facility at 6:30 am. No wonder he plays on offense and defense.

Robert Ayers met with the coaching staff for a couple of hours. To check out the list of players that showed today, check out Jones’ report.

While it is very discouraging to hear that the lockout is back on, today was just enough for players to get playbooks and check in with the organization.

The resolution to this CBA issue is still a ways away, but this small gap for players to have communicated with the organization may have been just enough to keep their offseason conditioning program on track and their minds on football.
