Like the Broncos, the Chargers’ season ended today as well. The last time they didn’t see the playoffs was in 2005 when the Broncos got there instead.
Philip Rivers did just enough to will his team to a win today, but life was not pleasant for the Pro Bowl quarterback this past week.
“This is the low point, certainly, of the last seven days. I think losing to Cincinnati (last week) and being eliminated was tough, but for me, it didn’t really set in. It set in each oday as the week went on. By Thursday, it was rough. Friday was rougher. Right before kickoff today, I was so aggravated and fired up to go play a game, I couldn’t stand it…We finished with a win like we wanted to, but we wish we would have finished a little sharper.”
Cry me a Rivers.
