In today’s press conference, Tim Tebow spoke about all of the supporters and all of the doubters that have surrounded him his entire football career.
Oddly enough, both groups have been essential to building his football career.
“I’ve had a great support group around me with siblings, close friends, mentors, and those people have always been very supportive of me,” Tebow said.
Then there are the cynics.
“There’s always the naysayers and there always will be. When I was a freshman in high school, they told me I couldn’t be a high school quarterback,” Tebow acknowledged.”There’s always going to be those people that don’t want me to succeed or don’t think I can succeed. I’m going to take that and use it as motivation. I’m a very self-motivated person, but that’s fuel onto the fire for me.”
Because Tebow spoke of his early days today, I decided to pull a clip of an ESPN documentary covering his high school years and his pending college decision.
