Denver Broncos Fall To 3-7 On Monday Night

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Broncos, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

Forget “Black Friday.” The Broncos introduced “Grey Monday” to the Holiday week. The San Diego Chargers kept it classy and beat their AFC West rivals 35 to 14. All was sunny until just after the first drive of the game when the Broncos opened by covering 69 yards in six plays and allowing Knowshon Moreno to get into the endzone. Then, the clouds rolled in with a fury and in time, many television sets were turned to Dancing with the Stars.

McDaniels Can Learn From Childress

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The clock is ticking. That’s the only certain in today’s society. No NFL coach is immune from being fired. When immediate results aren’t produced, recent history almost loses its meaning. That was the case for former Minnesota Vikings’ head coach, Brad Childress. Less than one year ago, the Vikings were sitting high and mighty playing in the NFC Conference Championship. Today, they’ve got a 3-7 team led by a quarterback in his 40′s that is now a year older and an injury away from ending his career.

Out Of The (Antonio)Gates

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Antonio Gates did not practice all week, and he’s listed as questionable for tonight’s game because of a foot injury. Whether or not the star tight end plays is a big deal.  In eight games, Gates is leading his team in receiving, averaging 82.9 yards per game. He’s got nine touchdowns and zero fumbles on the season.  The former college basketball player creates problems for safeties, corners, and linebackers because of his size and athleticism. At 6-4, 260 lbs., the guy has linebacker size with receiver quickness and hands. Norv Turner has become very creative with how he uses Gates in his many tight end [...]

Broncos Look To The Chargers For Late Season Help

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Broncos have their most important game to date coming up. Not only are they sitting in the armpit of the AFC West with a 3-6 record, but they are facing a divisional foe in San Diego on Monday Night Football. Monday nights have been a 50-50 coin toss for the Broncos under Josh McDaniels. Their last weekday game saw the Steelers (and all of their fans) come in to Denver to tear up the Broncos in a 28-10 loss. Their only other MNF game under McD was a 34-23 win in San Diego that saw special things from the [...]

Game Of The Week Prediction

AUTHOR: | IN: NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

In our second Sunday of the season without Broncos’ football, we can kick back a little and watch some of the other games going on around the league. Of interest to many is this afternoon’s game between the Colts and the Patriots. These two AFC teams have won four of the last nine Super Bowls thanks in large part to the leadership that they have at quarterback. Other QBs want to be compared to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady while other coaches seek to find a gem like them for their own team.

New Denver Broncos Uniforms?

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Fanzone/Tailgating | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

In 2012, Nike will take over the job of outfitting all NFL players. Currently, Reebok has the license to make NFL uniforms. There were pictures of all 32 new uniform designs floating around yesterday with the idea that Nike designed them. A PR guy from the NFL quickly stopped the rumor that these designs would be used. However, that doesn’t stop me from posting a photo of what the Broncos’ uniform looked like.

Tebow Delivery Not Of Concern To McDaniels

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Prior to and after the 2010 draft, many people didn’t think that Tim Tebow could be a successful NFL quarterback. Critics said his footwork wasn’t great, he had a slow release, and he was holding the ball too low. While he has made corrections in terms of shortening his stride on the drop back, and getting the ball out quicker, there’s no doubt that Tebow’s throwing motion is unorthodox. Josh McDaniels addressed this issue by saying that Tebow has made it work.

Josh McDaniels Just Wants Respect

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

There was so much hype surrounding a gesture that never took place. Last week, when Todd Haley refused to shake Josh McDaniels’ hand and preferred to scold the young coach instead, everyone jumped on the issue of sportsmanship. During Friday’s press conference, McDaniels said, “I’m not all that concerned with being liked as much as I’m concerned with being respected by the other coaches.”

Philip Rivers … The QB You Love To Hate

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 10 Comments

Source: Yardbarker.com I despise Philip Rivers. I really do. And I suppose that’s the best form a flattery a fan from a rival team can offer up. I think he’s arrogant. I think he’s a whiner. I think he’s “this close” to sprouting red horns and a tail and opening a hole at midfield that leads straight to Hell.
