Sure, let’s write off the last 5 games, see if we can’t end the year 3-13 just to let placate Tebow’s fans. As the article points out, the ONLY thing the Broncos have this year is the passing game. They should concentrate on improving the defense, special teams, and running game over the last games–not continue this quarterbacking farce by shoving in Tebow before he’s remotely ready.

Orton would be leading the league in TDs and passing rating as well as yards if he weren’t getting pulled to let Tebow cherry pick easy touchdowns inside the three. It’s not fair to Orton and frankly, it’s kind of insulting to Tebow: “Hey Tim, we know you aren’t good enough to play QB, but we’ll let you take a couple of snaps near the goal line to feel better about yourself–and about the three defensive picks we gave up to get you.”

If, and this is a big if, Tebow can bring more of a rushing, ground game than Orton (who never seems to scramble) then it actually accomplishes three things: He gives Knowshon a breather, he burns clock, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY it allows our defense to stay on the sidelines a little longer. A rushing QB actually changes the dynamics of the whole team.
