Broncos And Lions Taking Advantage Of Preseason Week 2

Preseason week two is already upon us with the Denver Broncos hosting the Detroit Lions on Saturday. As I reported earlier this week, Josh McDaniels thinks that playing the up and coming Lions and their fast 4-3 defense is a prime warm up to the start of the Broncos regular season since six out of their first seven opponents employ the 4-3.

The Lions are looking at their game against the Broncos in a similar fashion. They look forward to practicing against teams that employ the 3-4 because they have eight games against teams that use that defensive alignment.

According to Fansided’s Lions site, SideLion Report,

“The actual number of regular season games the Lions will play against 3-4 defenses is eight, that includes two games with the Green Bay Packers. Saturday night’s game will give the Lions another look at a 3-4 defense, something that is difficult for a 4-3 defense to replicate in practice.”

This should be a great game between two rebuilding teams.

You can take part in a live chat during tomorrow’s game over at SideLion Report. Zac will be hosting the chat and he’s giving us Broncos fans a chance to express our observations and reactions during the game. Don’t miss out!

Eric Decker played really well as did Orton. Still waiting to see the defense play better though

Remember the defense was without Champ Bailey and D.J. Williams too.
