New players, a new schedule, and plenty of headlines have and will continue to surround Dove Valley. Last year around this time, I tried to predict some of the top Broncos headlines that we would see during the season. As you can see, I was not too far off with some of them (the teacher did become the student for one game), but was far off on other headlines (Eddie Royal was certainly no king). As Josh McDaniels starts his second season, I’m [...]

Source: Yardbarker  Happy 50th Birthday to John Elway!  Instead of us giving him a present, Elway has given us a gift. After a weekend of playing golf with Josh McDaniels, Elway has decided to help the Broncos from the sidelines. Elway will attend some training camp practices and advise the younger players who now sport the Orange and Blue that Elway was once the poster boy for. He will also play a role in promoting the Broncos game in London. “The Broncos and Elway have [...]

He’s still a very popular guy here in Colorado, and is in fact holding his annual Dare To Play Football Camp for kids with Down Syndrome today and tomorrow. This week, our clip of the week is one of my favorite McCaffrey catches – a game winning TD catch against the Vikings.

When Preparation Meets Opportunity

Between Landon Donovan’s goal during injury-time of a World Cup game against Algeria and John Isner’s victory in a record setting 11 hour tennis match at Wimbledon, ample amounts of blood, sweat, and tears were left on the field/court. In fact, I think we could collect the fluids, send them to China, and clone a team worthy of competing with anyone in any sport. To be able to witness competitive [...]

Broncos Image Of The Week

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Denver Broncos defense is going to be much improved from last year. The team has an updated and larger defensive line, and the already stacked secondary is returning for their 2nd year under Josh McDaniels. The defensive squad has many guys to fill the leadership role as most players on this side of the ball are veterans. Between Champ Bailey, D.J. Williams, Brian Dawkins, Jamal Williams, and Elvis Dumervil, the rest of the Broncos can look in any direction for a go-to voice or ear regarding defensive strategy. Our image of the week comes in the form of two of [...]

Denver Broncos ’06 Draft Grade

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Draft | COMMENTS: None Yet

Draft grades are in - for the 2006 draft that is. NFL Mocks posted their AFC West draft grades, and the Broncos seemed to have done the best. It doesn’t matter too much considering more than half the players drafted are no longer with the team. It’s still fun to look at, however. “If only the Broncos could have found a way to make all of these picks happy and signed, they could have had arguably the best offensive draft, not just of 2006, but of the decade. QB Jay Cutler (1st), WR Brandon Marshall (4th), and TE Tony Scheffler (2nd) [...]

Denver Broncos And The Emergency QB

That’s an important issue to consider when looking at the “Tebow Factor.” Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com looked at the importance of the NFL QB rules and who the Broncos will list at the #2 and #3 spot. Not many people know this, but if a team uses its 3rd QB before the 4th quarter, then the team’s other two QBs are prohibited from entering the game at any position at any time.   This rule could [...]

Broncos Clip Of The Week

There’s no doubt that the Denver Broncos have added a lot more fans this off season with one single acquisition. Because Tim Tebow had a huge following in Florida, and the Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t the most popular team in the state, many Florida residents/fans have transferred their loyalty to the Broncos. A news clip from WUFT-TV which broadcasts from the University of Florida confirms this and that makes this our Broncos clip of the week.
