With Ryan Clady out 3-4 months with a knee injury sustained during a basketball game, the Broncos will begin to prepare their offense without a major piece to the puzzle. In honor of Clady, we dedicate the image of the week to him. Broncos: Josh McDaniels and Tim Tebow could be BFF’s in the making. 19 free agent college players were signed by the team yesterday. A new trial in the Darrent Williams death case is rejected. Draft grades are in, and the Broncos didn’t fair too well. The draft is officially over, but things are just getting started at Dove Valley. With nine rookies acquired over the weekend, the learning curve is Rocky Mountain steep. In the first half of the draft, the Broncos mostly focused on offense. They picked up a QB, 2 wide receivers, and three offensive linemen that can play either center or guard. In the later rounds, they got two cornerbacks who can also be used as return men, and a defensive end.  All in all, I’m happy with the 2010 Broncos draft class. It was clear that while Josh McDaniels spent $50 million to beef up the defensive line through free [...]

Our first two new draft picks have a lot to live up to. They are seemingly the possible replacements for two incredible players that once donned a Broncos uniform. The Broncos have been trying to fill the John Elway void for over a decade now. Griese, Plummer, Cutler, Orton, and the list goes on and on. Another famous QB has landed in Denver. Tim Tebow will stick to the orange and blue colors that he became so familiar with at Florida. The Broncos drafted him with the 25th pick and many experts were proven wrong about Tebow’s placement in the draft. The Broncos were reportedly very impressed with the young gun. The Broncos traded for the third time this draft, but their latest move propelled them two spots upward thanks to Josh McDaniels’ friends in New England. With that pick, the Broncos selected Demaryius Thomas, the wideout from Georgia Tech. Many people thought that the Broncos wouldn’t take a wide receiver in the first round, and if they did, Dez Bryant was a good possibility. However, the Broncos reportedly say that Thomas reminds them of Brandon Marshall the most. Thomas has the size at 6’3”, 224 lbs and he’s faster than Marshall.
