Broncos Image Of The Week

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

With Ryan Clady out 3-4 months with a knee injury sustained during a basketball game, the Broncos will begin to prepare their offense without a major piece to the puzzle. In honor of Clady, we dedicate the image of the week to him. Get better soon, so you can get back to doing this:   Source: Yardbarker Note: I’ll be out of town for a few days, so I apologize in advance for the lack of content. I’ll be updating early next week.

Ryan Clady Sustains Serious Injury

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Source: Yardbarker Did selecting three offensive linemen in the draft put a curse on the Broncos? Pro Bowl left tackle, Ryan Clady, suffered what is reportedly a serious knee injury. He hurt his patella tendon in a non-football related activity. I’m having flashbacks to an off season incident related to Brandon Marshall and a television set. I’m sure Clady wasn’t careless, and we hope the injury isn’t too serious and doesn’t set him back for off season training. However, the topic of off season injuries brings me to a point that I want to make. NFL organizations and fans expect players to not only take care [...]

Broncos Links

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

Broncos: Josh McDaniels and Tim Tebow could be BFF’s in the making. 19 free agent college players were signed by the team yesterday. A new trial in the Darrent Williams death case is rejected. Draft grades are in, and the Broncos didn’t fair too well. A Bronco jersey is the most popular one in the NFL since Draft Day.  Could Eddie Royal move into the slot?  Eric Decker could quickly see some playing time in Denver. Get to know Demaryius Thomas a little better. AFC West: Broncos vs. Chiefs, Tim Tebow vs. Eric Berry: The rivalry will continue. With Jason Campbell in, JaMarcus Russell is on [...]

AFC West Draft Round Up

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Draft, NFL | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

I’ve talked about how the Broncos did in the draft, so let’s step outside, so let’s step outside of Dove Valley and dip our toes into the gauntlet that is the AFC West. Kansas City Chiefs: Rd. 1 (5th overall) - S Eric Berry (Tennessee) Rd. 2 (36th) – RB Dexter McCluster (Mississippi) Rd. 2 (50th) – DB Javier Arenas (Alabama) Rd. 3 (68th) OL Jon Asamoah (Illinois) Rd. 3 (93rd) TE Tony Moeaki (Iowa) Rd. 5 (136th) DB Kendrick Lewis (Mississippi) Rd. 5 (142) DE Cameron Shieffield (Troy) Over at Arrowhead Addict, they’re talking about this year’s draft class paralleling last year’s draft class. “WR/RB [...]

Broncos Draft Recap

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Draft | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The draft is officially over, but things are just getting started at Dove Valley. With nine rookies acquired over the weekend, the learning curve is Rocky Mountain steep. In the first half of the draft, the Broncos mostly focused on offense. They picked up a QB, 2 wide receivers, and three offensive linemen that can play either center or guard. In the later rounds, they got two cornerbacks who can also be used as return men, and a defensive end.  All in all, I’m happy with the 2010 Broncos draft class. It was clear that while Josh McDaniels spent $50 million to beef up the defensive line through free [...]

For Better Or Worse: Broncos Grab Headlines In 1st Round

AUTHOR: | IN: Broncos, Draft | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Our first two new draft picks have a lot to live up to. They are seemingly the possible replacements for two incredible players that once donned a Broncos uniform. The Broncos have been trying to fill the John Elway void for over a decade now. Griese, Plummer, Cutler, Orton, and the list goes on and on. Who would have thought that the #15 jersey that the Broncos just tossed into the Dove Valley washing machine last week could be filled out with arguably the best college quarterback in history? I think the Broncos knocked the first round out of the park. It was a Babe Ruth, [...]

Tim Tebow: From Gator To Bronco

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Broncos, Draft | COMMENTS: None Yet

Another famous QB has landed in Denver. Tim Tebow will stick to the orange and blue colors that he became so familiar with at Florida. The Broncos drafted him with the 25th pick and many experts were proven wrong about Tebow’s placement in the draft. The Broncos were reportedly very impressed with the young gun. I think that phone call from Josh McDaniels also signals Kyle Orton’s ticket out of town. As a former quarterbacks coach, Josh McDaniels focused in on Tebow for a reason. His workouts were good and his character is top notch. He recognizes a need for change at [...]

A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed: Broncos 1st Pick

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Broncos, Draft | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Broncos traded for the third time this draft, but their latest move propelled them two spots upward thanks to Josh McDaniels’ friends in New England. With that pick, the Broncos selected Demaryius Thomas, the wideout from Georgia Tech. Many people thought that the Broncos wouldn’t take a wide receiver in the first round, and if they did, Dez Bryant was a good possibility. However, the Broncos reportedly say that Thomas reminds them of Brandon Marshall the most. Thomas has the size at 6’3”, 224 lbs and he’s faster than Marshall. He was constantly ranked just behind Dez Bryant as the best [...]
