Orton VS. Quinn: Tale Of The Tape

It’s obvious that Brady Quinn wants Kyle Orton’s job. Orton wants to keep his job, however. There’s the setup for this year’s QB competition. In my opinion, Orton will get the nod to start the season under center even if Quinn has a Tom Brady-like arm during training camp. Why? Josh McDaniels still has the Cutler trade hanging over his head, and he’s not going to immediately point Orton towards the bench just because another young gun has come in. McD wants to show everyone that acquiring Orton was the right move. If Orton falters early on in the season, I see McD throwing Quinn into the mix.
