Broncos Image Of The Week
The Broncos have some of the best fans in the league. There aren’t many players who visit Invesco and say it’s a welcoming place to play. Part of what makes Broncos fans so great is the extent to which they display their orange and blue pride. If you have tickets to a Broncos game, head over to parking lot C and find the Mile High Jester’s tailgate party. The jester hands out free orange and blue jello shots, will toss the football with you, and chat about our beloved team. This week’s image of the week goes out to him. > Source: Yardbarker
Broncos Clip Of The Week
Trade talks between the Broncos and the Seahawks are still going on. From a football standpoint, I don’t think there are any Broncos fans that want to see Brandon Marshall leave the team. At this point in time, “baby T.O.” is better than the real T.O. Our clip of the week this go around is Marshall’s highlight tape from this past season. Enjoy and let’s hope #15 will be back in orange and blue next year. Warning: Link contains strong language
Broncos Draft Insight: Offensive Tackle
There’s a lot of depth in this year’s draft. It’s not guaranteed that a QB or wide receiver is going to be this year’s #1 pick. Therefore, with the 11th pick in the draft (and possibly higher with a trade), the Denver Broncos have a lot of options, and a lot of tough decisions to make. Through free agency, the Broncos beefed up their defensive line. I’d like to see them add some bulk to the offensive line as well to aide in the running game. We scored big in ’08 when we drafted left tackle, Ryan Clady. I truly [...]

A classic baseball (?) picture of John Elway. AFC West: AA thinks that the Chargers are the only worthy [...]
Orton VS. Quinn: Tale Of The Tape
It’s obvious that Brady Quinn wants Kyle Orton’s job. Orton wants to keep his job, however. There’s the setup for this year’s QB competition. In my opinion, Orton will get the nod to start the season under center even if Quinn has a Tom Brady-like arm during training camp. Why? Josh McDaniels still has the Cutler trade hanging over his head, and he’s not going to immediately point Orton towards the bench just because another young gun has come in. McD wants to show everyone that acquiring Orton was the right move. If Orton falters early on in the season, [...]

Brady Quinn held his first press conference as a Denver Bronco yesterday. Quinn seems happy to be in Denver, and he’s already hard at work getting to know the new system. Here’s the link to the clip: http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=349&videoID=3778&type=broncosTV&year=&month=
Broncos Draft Insight: Wide Receiver Talent
People are saying that there’s one wide receiver that deserves a look in this year’s draft, and that player wasn’t even invited to the Combine last month. Bowling Green wideout, Freddie Barnes, produces on the field. According to Jeff Legwold, “ Barnes caught 155 passes last season. Yes, that’s the math: 155 catches in 13 games for Bowling Green. That’s 39 more catches than any player in any division of NCAA football. He had at least 10 catches in nine games, had nine 100-yard games and scored a touchdown in each of his last eight games. He scored 17 touchdowns in those last [...]

Orton Out? In With Quinn?
I usually do a link dump on Tuesdays, but there’s obviously more important business to talk about. I thought Sunday was a rest day, but not for the Broncos. They traded fan favorite, Peyton Hillis, and a couple of future draft picks for Brady Quinn. Is it out with Orton and in with Quinn? That’s certainly the hope for Josh McDaniels. The starting job is up for grabs in 2010, but I’m sure Orton won’t be finishing the season as the starter. McD is now working with QBs who are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Orton, the game manager, isn’t afraid [...]
