Broncos Image Of The Week: A Chris Henry Tribute

This week, our image of the week is dedicated to the late Bengals wideout, Chris Henry. Henry, 26, died this morning after falling from the back of a pick up truck. He was an emerging wide receiver in this league that was a great target for Carson Palmer. Regards go out to his family (which include his fiancee and 3 children), his friends, and the Bengals community.

Chris Henry is not the only NFL player to pass during his NFL season. As we all know, Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, died after being shot on New Year’s day in 2007. The 3 year anniversary of his death is two weeks away. With that said, our image of the week is a great one of two incredible football players whose lives ended way too soon.

What a great picture of two lives tragically cut short with so much potential ahead of them. Although those closest to them will never fully recover, pray they have to strength to become even closer to their loved ones. May both Slim 15 and Darrent rest in eternal peace, we know if their is an endzone in heaven Chris is going to find it.

I’m a die-hard Bengals fan and I have to say that I’m definitely a teary-eyed fan today. He was just getting his life in order and it seemed like things were just starting to click for him. Very sad day in Bengaldom.

Your act of sympathy is much appreciated, a class act.

    For Chris—

So many young men that find themselves in trouble never find their way back. Chris Henry was a great example that even when you fall you can get back up and be someone of true value. Thank you to Bronco fans, and other NFL fans, for honoring Chris Henry. I will look at the Broncos and their fan with a whole new respect. Who Dey!

  • DebLB
