CLIP OF THE WEEK!

AUTHOR: jprovenzo | IN: Clip of the Week! | COMMENTS: None Yet

Wow, what a Thanksgiving Day game for the Denver Broncos and their fans. It doesn’t get better than this for a team that desperately needed a win. Here are some turkey tidbits for those who missed the game.
Brian Dawkins continues to impress on and off the field.
Orton is just good enough.
Brandon Marshall is playing for a new contract…a mile high contract.
Knowshon Moreno is starting to look like a featured running back.
Elvis Dumervil is…DOOM!
So, lets sit back and reflect on what we are thankful for. Family, friends, food, and dominating the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football in our [...]

Broncos VS. Giants Preview

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

Big Blue and Predominantly Orange will trade turkey day blows at Invesco Field this week. Both the Giants (6-4) and the Broncos are the only teams in the league to go through a four game skid and still have winning records.  The only difference is the Broncos are still trying to climb out of their grave. The Giants snapped their losing streak by beating the Atlanta Falcons in a thrilling overtime game last week. This game isn’t going to be *insert pun* gravy for either team. The Broncos and Giants have showed their split personalities this season, yet both teams are in playoff contention. There [...]

Broncos Links

Even though the Broncos have lost four straight, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be in a good mood. Our team can redeem themselves with a win over New York plus many of us have a four day weekend to look forward to. Check back tomorrow for a game preview, but for now, here’s the weekly link dump:
Broncos Links:

Brandon Marshall’s outbursts on teammates may be taking it a step too far.
The Broncos are happy about playing another game so soon.
Josh McDaniels still doesn’t regret starting Chris Simms.
The New York Times is criticizing McDaniels’ trash talk before the Chargers game. Isn’t it [...]

Broncos Take 4th Straight Loss To The Gut

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Crazy things happened in the NFL this past weekend. The Steelers lost to the Chiefs, Dallas beat the Redskins by just one point, and the Cleveland-Detroit game, although meaningless, was the most thrilling game of week 11. As far as the Broncos are concerned, I don’t know if some players got their swine flu vaccine mixed up with an early injection of tryptophan or if they just didn’t get the memo that the top spot in the AFC West was up for grabs.
It was Chris Simms that got the start and heard boos, while Kyle Orton got an ovation. After seven consecutive run plays by the Broncos which advanced them [...]

CLIP OF THE WEEK!

AUTHOR: jprovenzo | IN: Clip of the Week! | COMMENTS: None Yet

It’s showtime once again for the Broncos. A rematch with the San Diego Chargers is only a day away and it will be for first place in the AFC West. So much for the old days when the Raiders or Chiefs were the best rival in Denver’s division. Make no mistake, the best rival is the Chargers and this year is no different. It seems like a distant memory since the Monday night game when the Broncos rolled into San Diego and dominated the Chargers. The win served as a springboard for the team’s season and it deserves a repeat [...]

Broncos VS. Chargers

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

It’s round #2 for the Broncos -Chargers always impressive duel. The Broncos go into Sunday’s game having lost their last three in a row while the Chargers come in having won their last four in a row. Can we bring back the yellow mustard and brown socks now? How about Brett Kern. We were 6-0 before we released him. This epic battle continues with the lead for the AFC West up for grabs. Almost all football analysts had the Chargers pegged as the unchallenged #1 team in the division. Little did they know that Kid Mc-D came into town with some swagger and a new QB in mind. [...]

Exclusive Interview With Broncos Hall Of Famer, Gary Zimmerman

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Gary Zimmerman helped guide the Denver Broncos to their first Super Bowl Championship in 1997. As a left tackle who protected John Elway and created running space for Terrell Davis to work, Zimmerman was the unsung hero of that team. NFL.com put together a great video of his Hall of Fame career:

Zimmerman will join Kellen Winslow (HOF class of ‘95) on Sunday at the Broncos-Chargers game to voice their choice for the Hall of Fame Class of 2010. This is part of The Van Heusen Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan’s Choice program which is,

“The first-ever dedicated forum for pro football fans to “voice their choice” and [...]

The Broncos Are Still A Contender

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

I’ve already come up with 10 reasons why being a Broncos fan is better than being a Chargers fan. Not that I couldn’t come up with 10 more reasons, but I wanted to put a different spin on things this Wednesday.
As we enter Sunday’s game, it feels like week 1 of the season. That 3 game lead in the AFC West has vanished faster than Eddie Royal can take it end to end. All playoff hopes rest in these last seven games of the season. The wins against the Cowboys and Patriots can be put into our sweet memory banks as exciting games, but the thrill of [...]

Broncos Links:

The New York Giants are already complaining about their game against Denver on Thanksgiving night. They had nothing better to do during their bye week?
Kyle Orton’s status is “wait and see.”
Josh McDaniels speaks to Monday’s loss. He was also already looking forward to the Chargers right after the Skins’ game. Wow!
The Quest for 31 stops in Denver this week. What a life. Visiting all 31 NFL stadiums to tailgate with locals sounds like the ultimate party to me.
Where oh where can Peyton Hillis be found? 4th on the depth chart.
Denver’s rush defense needs major improvement. Good thing most of our remaining [...]

Image Of The Week

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

Yesterday was no picnic for the Broncos. In addition to the loss, the Broncos lost their starting QB, Kyle Orton, in the first half. When that happened, the Broncos’ offense went anemic. Orton sustained a sprained ankle, and his status for this week is still uncertain. The take down makes our image of the week.
