Last Day Of Broncos Training Camp

Yesterday was the last day of camp. The players’ parents came to pick them up when it was over and they broke into one last camp song before dispersing. Just kidding.  The team was in shoulder pads and shorts, while Brandon Marshall was in his pajama bottoms. He might as well slept through practice yesterday because he didn’t do a lot to make himself or his teammates better. Once again he was in the red “scout” jersey running his routes at half speed and missing some occasional balls thrown his way.

On a lighter note, the players were visibly in a lighter mood. During kick return drills, you could hear the players laughing at eachother running down the field, and while they were trying to make tackles.

There were some solid defensive plays that were made. Here Brian Dawkins breaks up an Orton pass that was intended for Tony Scheffler despite the large cast on his hand.

Wesley Woodyard also picked off Tom Brandstater.

Kyle Orton is looking more solid these days. Here are a couple of nice passes to Scheffler and Brandon Stokley:

Camp was a great experience for the fans. I definitely look forward to going back next summer. The Broncos organization does an incredible job of giving fans access to the players and coaches. I don’t think there are many camps where you can have someone like Peyton Hillis run up into the crowd and almost step on your hand. If anyone from out of town is thinking about making the trip to Dove Valley next summer, I highly recommend it. Hope you enjoyed some of the camp coverage, and let’s cheer this team on hard during the season!

Go Broncos!
