Bears Ravage Rocky Mountain Campsite At Invesco

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

At first, it looked like Jay Cutler was way out of his comfort zone. The “Crybaby” tee shirts and the “Cutler Sucks” signs were in full effect as was the deafening collective “boo” from Broncos fans. Rocky Mountain Thunder made  national viewers feel like Invesco Field was on hydraulics, and with a simple grab of the helmet to hear the first play call, Cutler looked like he was doomed. It felt like a playoff game, the energy of the crowd enough to power Times Square for years.
After a few three and outs, Brett Kern booted a 57 yard punt forcing the Bears to start at the [...]

Broncos Pre-Season Week 3

AUTHOR: jprovenzo | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Pre-Season is almost over and it can’t come quick enough for the Denver Broncos. The team has found itself minus two quarterbacks and the starting right guard. Anyone watching the game’s broadcast had to endure the broadcasters “piling on” when Cutler played well and won the game. The commentating clearly went the direction of rehashing the drama over the summer of McJaygate. It is over…it is over…it is over! Spilled milk or immature players are not worth crying over.
Even the respected Jim Rome said on his radio show that Josh McDaniels should be given a fair chance to prove [...]

Broncos v. Bears: What To Watch For

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

Happy Game Day! Get your popcorn ready because it’s going to be a great show. Here are some things to watch for during tonight’s game:
- Brian Dawkins back in action. He’ll be playing with a large Q-tip cast on his surgically repaired hand, but don’t doubt his ability to come away with an interception.
- Turnovers, turnover, turnovers. We’ve got a horrible turnover margin (-6) that won’t make us forget about Jay Cutler or Brandon Marshall any time soon.
- Peyton Hillis on the kickoff return. He doesn’t have what it takes to take it all the way for the score, but he will [...]

Broncos Have A Lot To Prove On A National Stage

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The leaves are beginning to fall, the weather is cooling down, and in the next couple of months, and the chairlifts at the mountain resorts will rev their engines for the first time this ski season. More importantly, pro football is back in the state of Colorado. I love this time of year! Tomorrow’s preseason game marks the beginning of many things: Josh McDaniels coaching debut on his field against another team for the first time, the Cutler v. Orton comparison, what the Denver fans/Brian Dawkins can do to pump up the new 3-4 defense, and how our new team will play under the deep blue sky at Invesco.

Jay Cutler’s Return To Mile High

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

All joking aside, Jay Cutler’s return to Denver is going to be memorable. It’s almost like a class reunion where the most popular jock of the class comes back to his former school only to see that things have changed dramatically. A new coach, a new defense, Brandon Marshall’s absence, fans booing him, a different air in the city that once regarded him as The Coming of the next you know who.
It’s not going to be easy for Cutler to breathe easy upon his return. And I’m not talking about altitude here. He’s going to hear it from the crowd and from the media. [...]

Verdict: Marshall Suspension Justified

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Breaking News, Broncos | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

I watched him practice. I saw it coming. The dropped (catchable) balls, the lack of enthusiasm, distancing himself from the other receivers and QBs, his inability refusal to learn the playbook. Check, check, check, and check. Don’t send him his check let alone give him a new contract. A squeaky wheel may get the oil, but the diva-like behavior of an NFL receiver should get him a seat on the wood. He (in white, pads off) likes to stand on the sideline anyway these days.

I applaud the Broncos for suspending a guy like Brandon Marshall. He’s not above the organization, and even if this seems like another [...]

CLIP OF THE WEEK!

AUTHOR: jprovenzo | IN: Clip of the Week! | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Brian Dawkins is listed as “Questionable” on the team’s injury report heading into the biggest pre-season game in franchise history. However, if he does suit up will you be ready for his pre-game rituals? It is bizarre to say the least. Only Dawkins a.k.a “Weapon-X” could display his act and still command our admiration in our “Clip of
the Week.”

Image Of The Week

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Image of the Week comes a little early this week since Sunday is the big game day. There are some players in the league that just stick around for years and years despite the hard hits they absorb and the weird positions their limbs end up in. Taking care of their body off the field and before workouts is the key to staying so healthy. Diet, sleep patterns, stretching, and other lifestyle choices are key components to longevity as a pro. In our Image of the Week, 11 year veteran, Brandon Stokley goes into a deep stretch before training camp. Impressive that the WR can still get down to [...]

Broncos Schedule Breakdown

AUTHOR: Kim Constantinesco | IN: Broncos | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

Thanks to all who participated in the Broncos flag giveway, and congratulations to Jake for winning the random drawing. To be entered into the contest, I asked participants to predict the Broncos record this season and to give a short explanation for their reasoning. We had predictions ranging from 7-9 to 11-5. I’m going to predict a 9-7 record. Based on what I’ve seen from the Broncos and what I know about their opponents, here’s a breakdown for my prediction:
Week 1: Denver at Cincinnati - The Bengals are coming off a 4-11-1 season, and haven’t improved too much in the offseason. Carson Palmer lost [...]
