The Broncos Need A Running Back

We can talk about improving the defense all we want. It’s the Broncos top priority in the draft and in the free agent market. However, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the Broncos running game is a thing of the past. After Clinton Portis left, the hype surrounding the Broncos once famed/feared run attack disappeared. No one threatened opposing defenses to go for 50 yards and a score.

Well, that could change if the team Ponies up the money for Giants back, Derrick Ward. With Brandon Jacobs handling the #1 position for the Giants, Ward wants out to prove that he can handle the same job for another team. I would love to see Ward in Denver. Let Tatum Bell, Ryan Torain, and Peyton Hillis split carries as #2 backs, and we could have a very deadly running attack once again. And Selvin Young? I say get rid of him. 

As for the possibility of Ward becoming a Bronco, watch this:
