The Broncos New Coach

The city awaits. A decision regarding the Broncos next coach could come as early as Monday. The final first round interview is today with Miami assistant Todd Bowles. The other six candidates are:

New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo,

New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels,

Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Raheem Morris,

Broncos offensive coordinator Rick Dennison,

Dallas offensive coordinator Jason Garrett

Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier

I would love to see Spagnuolo get the position. I think he is most Shanahan-like, but has a greater focus on defense. That’s exactly what this team needs. In my opinion, an offense will come around with a solid defense. The Giants are living proof of that. As Eli Manning struggled early in his career, there was always some sort of defensive stability. The Broncos have already got a stacked offense that needs time to mature. All they need is the defensive component, and Spagnuolo is the guy for the job. Whichever coach takes over will have the ability to bring in other coaches at his discretion starting in 2009.

Out of the seven candidates, who would you like to see get the job?
