Are The Denver Donkeys Back?

I just finished cleaning up. I vomited all over myself multiple times while watching the Broncos lose to the Chiefs today 19-33. My prediction of the final score was almost correct except the wrong team won. Tell me how a 3-0 team goes in to play an 0-3 team and gets drilled a new asshole in the process? How frustrating for Broncos fans. We didn’t even have a shot at Lady Luck coming our way again because the Chiefs simply beat the hell out of us. Personally, I think the Broncos played into the “Arrowhead curse” (13-34 at Arrowhead). Mike Shanahan said throughout the week that any team can win on any given Sunday. That’s true, coach, and it’s a statement that needed to be made. However, I think a lot of players took it to heart and flew into Kansas City a little scared of being on the other side of a win.

We knew that the offense was going to flounder at some point in the season, and the defense needed to pick up the slack. Today, the offense was plagued by turnovers and red zone ineffectiveness, but the defense continued to let the other team convert on long third downs. They did keep the game close until the fourth quarter, but that’s to be expected when you’re playing the 2008 Chiefs. It was Jay Cutler and the receivers that couldn’t keep the ball in the offenses’ possession, and the running game was as visible as that pot of gold that’s supposedly at the end of a rainbow.

Now I know how Patriots’ fans felt after last week’s loss to the Dolphins. They felt like it was a bad dream; They wished it was a preseason game; They wanted to hide their heads in the sand. The sad part is we have a healthy starting QB. At least they’ve got an excuse for their loss.

I totally agree with this blog. It was sickening to watch this game. 4 turnovers on offense was almost as pitiful as our NFLS WORST defense. This defense is pathetic. How many D Cordinators have been fired? Its time for someone else to take the damn blame… THE DEFENSIVE PLAYERS. While im ranting, Dwayne Robertson who didnt play has been a F*ing waste of money. He has done NOTHING to help this dline. Someone better get a clue! You can not win a Super Bowl with a defense like this. Even if we did put up 40 points a game which obviously cant always happen, as proven today, you still need at least a BALANCED DEFENSE. Get your heads out of FANDOM and see the light. You can still support your team while you also understand what needs to be fixed. Pointing out problems doesnt make you any less of a fan as alot of “fans” like to say. Most of those fans dont have a clue as to the x’s and o’s of football anyway. Lets be fans, but lets keep it real too!

I still can’t believe they lost and to KC of all teams.  It just shows that the AFC is still up for grabs with a few teams leaving the mix and a few more arriving into it.  I still have faith in Denver to take the west over the Chargers.  And yes you were this week’s New England team that was shocked by a major underdog.  I feel bad for the 49ers and the Bucs this week’s opponent for both NE and Denver.

It’s true our defense is pretty silly bad right now, but they did keep us in the game.  Should we have needed them to?  Absolutely not.  However, it’s a divisional rival.  I know that’s a dead horse, but it’s true.  I can’t remember how many Oak/Den, Den/KC, Dal/Was, NYJ/NE, Phi/NYG, etc.. games have been won by the team with the losing records, just because they know eachother so well, and frankly, loathe eachother so much.  It happens.  Hopefully this was a humbling experience for Jay, and a learning one at that.  I expect him to come out against Tampa with a fire in his belly and light the field up.

Oh yeah, there’s no doubt the Broncos will come in with fire in the belly. Hopefully, it’s on both sides of the ball!
