This came to my inbox yesterday courtesy of a Chiefs’ fan:
“I have to say I am not a Denver fan, in fact I love to see them lose.
I cheer for Kansas City twice during the year, when they play the
Broncos. Having said that imagine how mad I was when I actually
watched something besides NASCAR with my son a die hard Denver fan and
Denver won on a bad call, LOL. I have to say going for the two on the
extra point was a big risk for Denver rather than playing it safe and
kicking the extra point. It was a gamble that could of lost them the
game and in the face of a bad call gave the Chargers a better chance
to still win the game. Mike Shanahan is a class act and the Denver
Broncos though I am not a fan have earned my respect. Thanks for
taking the high road, a win well deserved. I’m still cheering for KC
though, but maybe I won’t be quite as mad when they loose, LOL.”
Thanks for being a stand-up Chiefs fan and recognizing what the Broncos organization has to offer. This is a class act club and with some great minds on its coaching staff. I actually feel bad for the Chiefs right now. Yes, it’s too early to hype up the Broncos’ season, but it’s not too early to put the Chiefs in the proverbial coffin. Here’s an open invitation to Chiefs’ fans: Become a Broncos fan for just this season. I promise I won’t tell anyone!
