Getting ready for the regular season has not been a walk in the park for the Broncos. Last week, the team lost rookie back Ryan Torain to a dislocated elbow. He is expected to be out for at least three months. Torain was supposed to give the running game some fresh legs that would’ve helped Selvin Young’s efforts and Michael Pittman’s old legs. Now, the team will look to Andre Hall and another rookie, Anthony Aldridge. I was really looking forward to seeing what Torain could do, but I guess it will have to wait.
To make matters worse, Boss Bailey is out for the rest of preseason to allow his ankle to heal. The injury-proned Bailey suffered a severe ankle sprain in the team’s loss to the Texans on Saturday. He should be back for the first regular season game on September 8th in Oakland. His replacement, Louis Green, who was carried off the field on a stretcher, could return sooner than Bailey.
