But he is catching the football with his right hand. If the only thing Brandon Marshall can’t do with his right hand is wipe his ass, then things will be looking good for the Broncos come September.
The big story of the off-season is the weekly predictions that Broncos players are making. First it was Selvin Young saying that he would have a 2,000 yard season (this was even before the Broncos released Travis Henry), and now, it’s receiver Brandon Marshall saying “I’m still going to catch a hundred balls” (DenverPost.com). That’s a bold statement considering the right arm injury he suffered in the off-season. Nearly three months after having surgery to repair tendons, nerves, muscles, and an artery, Marshall was catching balls in minicamp. June 22nd is the day that he will be cleared to lift weight, and catch balls without limitations.
After hearing about Marshall’s injury, it was hard to imagine that he would be where he is now at this point of the off-season. It appears that he’s taking his role as the #1 receiver seriously as he is already preparing for the Sept. 8 game against Oakland. “I’ve got all their plays broken down, and I’m studying them, and getting mental reps is always a plus when you’re on the sideline dealing with an injury.”
