New Broncos Players Want At The Raiders

The Denver Broncos held their 6th annual fan fair last weekend. I attended both days and had the chance to talk to some current and former players during the Q&A sessions. I’ll be posting some of the questions and answers in the coming posts.

For now, I want to address the heated Broncos-Raiders rivalry that continues to thrive in the AFC West. Even rookies Ryan Clady and Eddie Royal are looking forward to playing against the Raiders. Royal said “I played with DeAngelo Hall in college, and he’s a Raider this year, and a good friend of mine. I’m really looking forward to that game.”

Ryan Clady said that he is looking forward to the first game of the season in Oakland. Even though he grew up in Southern California he “was never a big fan of the Raiders.” Clady said, “I didn’t have a favorite team. I would just watch the games on T.V.” Clady also mentioned that he was disappointed that he would not be able to play against his childhood hero, Warren Sapp (Retired in January 08′).

When newcomer Niko Koutouvides was asked what he could do to stop Darren McFadden, he said that he will “give him a special rookie welcome.” He also said, “We’ll have something for Javon Walker too. He’s not too happy with the Broncos right now.” Well, the Broncos are not happy with Walker either.

Personally, I think the Broncos will put a large lump in Al Davis’ throat in week one. That lump will continue to grow as he watches his money turn in another losing season.
