2008 Broncos Schedule Finalized
By Editorial Staff
It looks like an interesting season as far as the schedule goes. The Broncos will be traveling to the east coast quite a bit, and teams (Miami, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, and Buffalo) that usually don’t visit Invesco field will be braving the cold Mile High air. There will be two Monday night games, and a later bye week than the team is used to. Their schedule is not too difficult aside from the Monday night game in New England and the final regular season game in San Diego.
Here’s the schedule:
Week 1: Monday, September 8, at Oakland
Week 2: Sunday, September 14, San Diego
Week 3: Sunday, September 21, New Orleans
Week 4: Sunday, September 28, at Kansas City
Week 5: Sunday, October 5, Tampa Bay
Week 6: Sunday, October 12, Jacksonville
Week 7: Monday, October 20, at New England
Week 8: Bye
Week 9: Sunday, November 2, Miami
Week 10: Thursday, November 6, at Cleveland
Week 11: Sunday, November 16, at Atlanta
Week 12: Sunday, November 23, Oakland
Week 13: Sunday, November 30, at New York Jets
Week 14: Sunday, December 7, Kansas City
Week 15: Sunday, December 14, at Carolina
Week 16: Sunday, December 21, Buffalo
Week 17: Sunday, December 28, at San Diego
Since the last post, the Broncos have signed receivers Darrell Jackson and Samie Parker to one year contracts. Parker will compete for the 4th or 5th slot, and Jackson will undoubtedly give Jay Cutler a great new option to throw to. Jackson’s signing will also relieve a lot of the pressure that other teams would have put on Brandon Marshall. It looks like the Broncos are taking the right steps in giving Cutler the targets he needs to be a great QB.
