1997 SuperBowl Champions: Where are They Now?

Going without NFL football for the first weekend in four months is kind of like the first weekend after you end a two year relationship with your significant other. You’ve got a lot of nervous energy and you don’t exactly know what to do with yourself. Good thing we have the grand finale in a week. After the SuperBowl is the true test.

Speaking of the SuperBowl, it’s been 10 years since the Broncos were crowned SuperBowl Champions of 1997. If you are curious as to what former SuperBowl champs are up to these days, the Denver Post has a great feature that explores what players such as Mark Schlereth, Glen Cadrez, and Gary Zimmerman are doing with their lives.

I’d wager that Romo is probably doing doorbell loogie with J.J. Stokes, but that’s just me being a cynic.

If you get the NFL Network the Senior Bowl is on tomorrow.  Technically football doesn’t end for another two weeks after the Pro Bowl.  But then the week after that is the NFL Combine.  After that are individual workouts, the Draft, and then training camps.  So if you convince yourself enough (like I do), football never ends.

it’s a never ending cycle of football…though the NFL does try to make this week the most boring.  While next week is filled with all sorts of media day crap that no one cares about and only manufacturers storylines.
