I’m a Raider Hater: Why the Broncos Will Win on Sunday and Other News

The Broncos just can’t get away from legal troubles. Should Shanahan keep these guys locked in a cage on the weekends? The latest player to make his way to a Denver County drunk tank is third string QB, Darrell Hackney (Denver Post).

Travis Henry will be in the Broncos lineup on Sunday. Henry is able to attack the Raiders woeful run defense because the NFL’s office closed business for the week before making a decision about his appeal to an alleged positive test for marijuana. Selvin Young is also back in the lineup. (Denver Post). Look for these two players to have a significant impact in Sunday’s game.

Speaking of Bronco running backs, former Bronco back, Clinton Portis, is staying out of the Redskins locker room (Rocky Mountain News). Why? He is havig a hard time dealing with the tragic death of teammate, Sean Taylor. Broncos players,  D.J. Williams and Chris Myers, will attend the funeral services on Monday (The Gazette).

Why the Broncos will beat the Raiders? Here’s the breakdown

Jay Cutler has a new favorite target in tight end, Tony Scheffler.

– Whoever takes the most snaps as Oakland’s QB (Daunte Culpepper, Josh McCown, or JaMarcus Russell), will struggle with Champ Bailey and Dre Bly’s play making abilities.

– Henry and Young are back to face the league’s worst run defense.

– With playoff hopes still looming, the Broncos will put forth their greatest effort while the Raiders wouldn’t mind another #1 pick in the 2008 draft.
