A Win in Kansas City Gives Broncos’ Fans Hope

Watching the first half highlights that CBS compiled of Jay Cutler throwing bad passes indicated that this was just another game we would lose in Kansas City. Good thing I was wrong and the Broncos scored two second half touchdowns in 9 seconds. That played a role in quieting the Arrowhead crowd as did the Broncos only allowing the Chiefs to run for 67 yards.

Selvin Young stepped up his game with 109 yards, and 1 touchdown on 20 carries. After the game, he said, “I want to be a puzzle piece and try to fit with no space in between. I want to step up and not be a dropoff at all, no falloff in one of the most important positions on the team. I felt I’ve put myself in a position to be able to handle it” (Yahoo Sports). Everyone is right when they say that anyone can run behind a Denver offensive line.

Cutler also played well today, even with an injured leg. He said, “I felt good the whole game. The offense put up points when we had to. We’ve got to keep this level of play up. That’s the biggest thing.”

It looks like things are finally starting to come together for Mike Shanahan’s Broncos. As the Chargers are dominating the Colts right now, it appears that the AFC West is a mystery to the entire league. I think that it’s going to be tough to predict who will come out on top of the division when the regular season ends. I do know the Broncos have a good chance.
