Broncos – Jags Recap and Sideline Activities

Ok, I know. My crystal ball wasn’t exactly working yesterday. Not only did the Broncos lose 23-14, but they were physically out-played.

During the Jaguars first drive down field, they chewed over 11 minutes off the clock. You might as well ask Denver’s defense to run a marathon and then beat the Jags in a 100 meter sprint at the end of the game. A side lined John Lynch didn’t help things either against a bulldozing Fred Taylor.

With the Denver defense on the field for the majority of the game, Denver’s offense was stuck on the sideline doing things such as:

Thinking about what’s for dinner…

or chanting “defense” into the headset…

When the offense was on the field, they managed to throw an interception, fumble the ball, and turn it over twice on 4th down.

That won’t fly against next week’s opponent, the Indianapolis Colts. We pretty much need to play a perfect game next week or hope for a Peyton Manning breakdown. Yeah, right!

Meanwhile, the Cowboys also proved me wrong as they beat the Bears. Maybe Devin Hester should get back to the practice field instead of posing with his dream car [Bear Goggles].
